Tucker is a happy-go-lucky, seven-years-young, 17-pound male Havanese. He has quickly wormed his way into his foster parent's home and hearts for many reason; among them, his easy-going personality. Tucker quickly adjusted to the routine of his foster home, so he's a flexible guy.
Hurricane Sandy upset his peaceful foster abode and he found himself in the midst of a lengthy power outage at his foster home, and a subsequent move with his foster family (3 other Havies included) into a relative's home. None of this seemed to faze sweet Tucker. He just went with the flow.
Tucker was raised in a family with young children and is reported to be good with them. He loves to lounge on the couch, go for walks, relax with a chew bone, or run after a toy and happily follows his foster mom from room to room, a true Hav! If you even glance his direction, his tail immediately starts to wag. He plays well with the other dogs in the house and, since his arrival, he has not had even one potty mistake. He truly is a delightful boy.
Tucker loves to get in the car and go. He jumps right in and into his crate, and is ready for a car ride, a great traveler. When he first arrived he was happy to sleep in his crate and was placed there at first when left alone in the house. He also enjoys sleeping in bed, and is fine with being kept in the gated kitchen when the family is out. He happily greets his foster family with a squeaky toy in mouth when they arrive home. So, either crating or gating would probably be fine by the easy-going Tucker.
Tucker's wish list includes a family where a loved one is home most of the time. He truly enjoys having someone to sit on the couch with, play toys with him, and take him for walks. He is requesting a lot of squeaky toys and someone to play fetch with. Another sweet, small dog would be nice, but he would probably be okay as an only dog as well.
