Charlie in KS HeadShotFosterToAdoptProgramIconNine-year-old Charlie, a former puppy mill dog, is soaking in the experiences of living in a home with his foster family. He is shy and doesn't demand attention. Charlie is like a shadow and follows his foster mom around the house. He likes to be in the same area that she is. He lets her know when he wants to be picked up, but becomes insecure and cowers before it happens.

Charlie doesn't have any interest in toys at this time and perhaps he never will. He likes a calm and quiet household and thrives on predictability. He eats in his crate and is able to be crated during the day when his family is at work. At night he likes to sleep at the foot of the bed.

Charlie is working on house training. He knows how to walk on a leash. Charlie doesn't interact with the other dogs in his foster home, but learns what is expected by watching their responses.

Charlie in KSWhen 12-pound Charlie is ready to go home, he'll be looking for a quiet home with a single person or perhaps an older couple. A well-socialized canine companion would be nice for him but may not be necessary.

CHARLIE is being fostered in KS.
