They love to wrestle with each other (and with other dogs occasionally). They pull each other's tail or ears and play "bitey-face," and they tumble over each other to land in a heap. They are very entertaining. They also like to play with toys--not fetching them, but making piles of toys. When they need a break, they nap: in laps, on the sofa, or on the floor.

 Bonnie loves to have her tummy rubbed--for hours. She knows all the standard commands. She loves attention and she loves kids. Klyde is very agile: He likes to run around outside, and he can jump high over any obstacle. He likes to sit on people's laps, whether he receives an invitation or not, and once he settles in, he expects to be petted.He tends to get a bit anxious during storms, but if his human holds him, he will cuddle and fall asleep. When Bonnie wants to go to bed at night, Klyde follows. They both like children, and they like other dogs, but they believe they have to bark at strange dogs. Cats, on the other hand, are unknown quantities.

They’re house trained (and Klyde is working on being even better house trained), crate trained, and leash trained. They love to go for walks, but their legs are so short that they have to walk fast to keep up even with a slow-moving adult.  

Bonnie is slimming down a bit now that her food bowl is put down far from Klyde’s. They’re in good health and only take the standard preventives for heartworm and for fleas and ticks.  Their perfect home will have someone who is home most of the time to give them attention and receive their kisses.
