*ADOPTED*   My name is Aja. I don’t know why my foster mom keeps calling me, “Mr. Personality.” Maybe it’s because everyone who meets me, loves me! I am happy with big people and little people, too, and when I wag my tail and sit on their laps, they can’t help but cuddle me. Even though it took me a while to believe I was loved, I stopped being scared and learned to sit up and beg for more “pets.”

My foster dad calls me a “Special Someone.” He thinks I’m smart, funny, eager-to-please, and a wonderful companion to the littler dogs in my foster family. I learned about the doggie door really fast; I always try to come when I’m called, and I’m learning to do tricks for my treats.

My foster family says that any family that adopts me will be really lucky, and I think that’s true – especially if there’s room in their bed for me, too!

Aja is a 4 yr. old neutered male Havanese. When his “silly haircut” grows out, he will have a beautiful white coat with apricot ears. Aja worries when he’s left alone, so he will do best with a family where someone is home most of the time. He can be a good friend to another small dog, but he hasn’t learned to live in a household with cats yet. Aja is in excellent health, although he has a slight deformity in his left paw which does not interfere with his mobility. He is current in shots, micro-chipped and waiting for his “forever family.” Aja is being fostered in the state of WA.

A donation of $275 will be requested to adopt this dog. This amount is based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. The application can be found on our website at www.havaneserescue.com. You will not be considered until we have the completed application.

Changing lives ... one Havanese at a time.
