baxter thumbnailNine-year-old Baxter is adjusting really well to his foster family and home. He enjoys the company of the other Havanese in his foster family and loves spending time with people as well. Baxter is 21 pounds of love and affection.

In his previous home Baxter used a doggie door. Now he’s learning to ring the bells at the door when he needs to go outside. It took him about a week to adjust to the new routine. He is leash trained and enjoys twice daily walks with his foster family.baxter 1 edit

Baxter is described by his foster mom as sweet, calm, engaging, friendly, playful, quick to bond, quiet and very adaptable. He sounds perfect! He greets his foster family by bringing a toy to the door when they return after being out. What a sweetheart!

baxter 2 editBaxter is reported to get along well with children over the age of 12 as well as cats. We know he does well with his Havanese foster siblings. He adapted quickly to his foster parents and has settled into a comfortable routine with them.

Happy, healthy and well-adjusted, Baxter is looking for a loving family, hopefully with another small dog as he enjoys canine company.

BAXTER is being fostered in VA.
