BoscoSmFace

Hi, I'm Bosco. The vet is guessing that I'm 4 or 5 years old because I'm pretty calm and seem experienced with the world around me. The vet was really impressed that I am so healthy since I was found stuck in a large, fenced in ditch, by a nice man out walking his own dogs.

I was so dirty and matted, but the nice man took me home to his wife. She was so sweet to me and shaved me all the way down, picked out over 40 burrs and sticks from my coat, removed the embedded collar around my neck, and she gave me a wonderful bath.  I feel like a new dog!  These nice people couldn't keep me, and they surrendered me to the Havanese Rescue folks.BoscoBefore

My new foster mom has small (15 lbs), medium (80 lbs) and large dogs (130 lbs), and we all get along great. I'm relaxed and prefer to hang out with people, but I was snuggling this morning with one of my new buddies.

I'm working on being crate trained so I won't have accidents in the house anymore.  I'm also learning commands, like sit, leave it, and lay down. I'm smart and prefer learning with treats and I like it when my foster mom tells me how handsome and smart I am. She gives me good food to eat, too!

It's hard to learn new tricks but I like to please my people.  I'm also learning not to pull when I go for walks. I have a really cool 'no pull' harness, that I'm definitely getting the hang of.

I've been single for a while now, and it was a lonely, scary life.  I'm ready to have a family of my own and a place to call home.  Did I mention I'm handsome and smart?

Bosco is being fostered in Northern California.
