ELLA VA HEADSHOT revisedMiss Ella’s foster parents wonder if there’s border collie in her lineage; except when she’s sleeping, she’s a busy little girl.  Above all, she loves playing with her foster brother, followed by coercing her foster mom or dad into playing fetch or going through her foster brother’s toy basket to find her favorites—the soft squeaky ones—to toss and roll around with in her mouth.  Miss Ella could also be called Miss Personality:  She’s smart, funny, talkative, and often bossy.  She’s definitely an extrovert and her energy belies her eight years.

ELLA VA 4An exceptionally sweet, curly coated little munchkin, Miss Ella weighs only 10 pounds.  She is black with white socks, a white muzzle and chest, and a large dash of white at the end of her ever-waggy tail.ELLA VA 2 revised

She was immediately comfortable in her foster home, friendly with everyone, and a marvelous snuggler.  Not crate trained, she sleeps on the bed with her foster parents and brother, though she prefers having her very own pillow.  And she remains on that pillow through the night! Ella walks wonderfully on a leash and is so well house trained that she almost leads you to the door. Despite her busy schedule, Ella is very well behaved, and she has learned to “Wait” at doors, as her foster brother does.  She’s not fond of car rides but enjoys her daily walks.

Ella loves children, though they should be old enough, 10 or 12, to be gentle with her.  She hates being left alone and needs someone who is home a great deal.  At the same time, she’s fine if left alone with her foster brother (but probably not for exceptionally long periods of time).  Consequently, her ideal home should include another small, friendly dog to be her next foster brother or sister.  Ella is in excellent health, though she will need to remain on a prescribed medication for her allergies.

Miss Ella is being fostered in Virginia.
