Grooming
We Havanese have very long double coats. This means we require grooming, including brushing on a regular basis. Sometimes, we can go several days between brushings, but there are periods when daily brushing is necessary - even if you keep us clipped short.
You can keep us clipped down in what is generally called a puppy cut, however, unless you learn to do this yourself, you will need to budget sufficient funds to pay for professional grooming on a regular basis. We're very proud of being considered "high maintenance" just like movie stars!
