The

2011 Havanese Quilt Project

the incredible blocks

and  the inspiration

behind them...

Havanese Rescue Inc. and The Havanese Quilters have two unique quilts in the works for 2011  “Havanese at Home” and  “Bloomin’ Havanese”. These quilts are a major fundraiser for HRI and help us support the important work done by our rescue organization. Textile artists and quilters from HRI and the newly formed “Havanese Quilters” volunteer their time and talent to create these heirlooms.

Each quilt is a compilation of numerous blocks, designed and sewn independently. While not yet fully completed, you can sneak an early peek at the individual blocks and read their stories. One of these lovely art pieces could be yours. Support Havanese Rescue by participating in our free quilt drawing. Click on the link for more details and entry form or go to  www.havaneserescue.com for information about the Quilt Project, HRI and our foster dogs.

Bloomin’ Havanese  (Havanese Quilters) has a whimsical floral theme and is  finished with a  white binding and prairie points.

Havanese at Home (HRI Volunteers) has a “things havs do at home” theme and  will be  finished with a black/multi-color border.
