Sassy, who weighs 13 pounds, is a happy and healthy seven-year-old Havanese. She enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home.
Sassy came to foster care needing to work on her house training. She's done very well with this and is now fully crate-trained. She has learned new rules in her foster home and has responded well to the structure. Sassy does well with both men and women and children over the age of 10. It's unknown how she does with younger children. She used to live with cats and wanted to play with them-- but they weren't fond of her attention!
High on Sassy's favorite activities is being with her family and snuggling. She'd love a home of her own with someone who is home much of the time. Her former owner was a senior citizen, and her foster mom thinks Sassy would be most happy as a companion to another senior citizen. 
If you're already smitten, feel free to complete an application, however, please be aware than our dogs must be in their foster homes for a minimum of two weeks for evaluation. This is for their benefit, and yours, to help ensure a successful placement in a permanent home.
A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
