Floyd is often anxious, but is feeling more confident after spending time in a dog savvy home with other Floyd3small dogs. He’s found his place in the pack, and his personality is shining through.

He spends his day playing with his foster brother in the morning, then napping and tossing toys. Floyd is always ready for someone to throw a toy for him to chase. He also loves going outside for a walk. He’s the first one at the door when he hears his foster mom say, “out” or “walk”!

FLOYD CA SITTINGFloyd especially loves it when his foster mom calls, “Dinner!” Then he races to find a toy to play with and finally comes into the kitchen when everyone else is assembled. He sits and waits nicely until his food bowl is placed on the kitchen floor and everyone is told “ok”. Then he inhales his meal, despite using a “slow-em-down bowl”.

At night Floyd sleeps on one of the doggie beds in the bedroom. Though he likes to go into a crate for a nap, he doesn’t like to have the door closed. Floyd would love a forever home with a dog savvy family Floyd1where someone is home much of the day. He does best when things are pretty calm and quiet, so he’d do best in an adult home without children. Floyd would love to have Floyd2another well-socialized small dog for companionship. He really needs a fenced yard too so he can freely run and can chase after birds and squirrels.

Floyd is being fostered in Northern CA.
