Bowser and Daisy headsDaisy and Bowser are very intelligent, sweet, and loving Havanese.

Five-year-old Daisy is a petite 12 pounds -- but not quite petite enough. She is working hard at getting her girlish figure back, and her love of walks should get her down to her ideal nine pounds in no time. Daisy craves attention and responds to it well. She understands the voice commands to stay, sit, and come, and almost always responds quickly. She also is crate trained.

Daisy’s wish list for a perfect home is to have someone who is with her most of the time, likes to go forDaisy sitting walks, and is willing to provide a lap for her to sit and be loved in. She doesn’t need another dog in the family but would get along with a fur-sibling.

Bowser is an athletic boy and loves, loves, loves to chase balls; he will chase them as long as you keep throwing them. Like Daisy, six-year-old Bowser needs to lose some weight -- about five pounds from his current 22 -- but between going for walks and playing ball, he will get in shape quickly. Bowser isn't just an athlete; he loves to be cuddled. He is also learning to take treats nicely. Bowser has some allergies, which we are working to resolve, and he is currently on a low dose of prednisone.

Bowser layingBowser is generally good with other dogs but sometimes reacts to dogs on walks, especially yellow labs. His foster family is working on this with him. Bowser would be happy to have a doggie brother or sister, but it's not necessary as long as he has someone to play with. Bowser grew up with a human brother and would be good with older children.

Bowser and Daisy are being fostered in MN.
