Jesse has quickly charmed his way into his foster mom’s heart. He’s a happy and affectionate boy who loves to snuggle. Jesse also has an adorable head tilt, and he appears to listen intently when you talk to him. He’s a smart boy, so it’s very likely true!
Jesse has a lot of energy and absolutely loves to go on walks. Be prepared to move along briskly; Jesse wants to help you get your heart rate up with some happy exercise. Once he’s home, Jesse loves exploring the toy box. He entertains himself (and anyone who’s watching) by tossing stuffed toys in the air and chasing after them.
In addition to playing on his own, Jesse likes to play with people. He can be a little bossy, but if his person disengages when he’s getting overly excited, he calms down quickly. In just a few days he is learning he doesn’t have to be the boss.
Currently Jesse is being treated for skin infections due to allergies. His allergies have also caused a history of ear infections. His vet believes he will need to be on Apoquel long-term to keep his allergy-related infections away.
Jesse would be a great addition for a family. He reportedly gets along with men, women, children over the age of 10 and both dogs and cats.
He is somewhat reactive to outdoor noises and has a loud bark. Although he only barks one to three times, he would not be a good fit for apartment living.
We look forward to learning more about this delightful boy and finding him a family to love.
Jesse is being fostered in Florida.
