Dixie is a seven year old female that weighs 11 pounds. She is a playful, affectionate, lap dog. She can be goofy and animated, twirling with excitement for her food or treats, or when someone comes to the door. Dixie also can be a good alert system, letting you know when there is something outside, but isn’t overly yappy. She likes her walks and playing with her toys, and may even play a short game of fetch with you.
On top of all that joy and playfulness, Dixie is a cuddler at heart. She loves to cuddle on the couch with you while you watch TV or sit on your lap on the porch. Her favorite place to sleep will be snuggled up next to your legs on the bed. She is a good example of why the term “Velcro dog” is used with Havanese, she wants to be with you, give you hugs, love, kisses, and get lots of rubs and hugs from you.
Dixie does well for her grooming, she doesn’t even mind getting her nails clipped. She hasn’t been exposed to cats, children, or men, so she would really enjoy a home with a single woman to care for her. She wants to be your best friend and for you to be hers!! 
A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any. A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption.
