Would like a canine companion and fenced yard

Jack is a spunky little delight! He is outgoing, curious, confident, and smart. Jack is learning how to play with other dogs and seems to really like having a buddy or two. He greatly enjoys running and playing in the fenced yard at his foster family’s home.

Jack’s favorite activities involve him being near or on his people, playing fetch either inside or outside, meal time, snuggling, and “talking” as he is playing. He’s a conversational guy who makes little growls and squeals while he plays, which is quite entertaining!

Jack with ToyAt this time, he is in a belly band when indoors. This may not be relevant at another home where there are no other male dogs. He barks a lot to alert his foster family that a car is driving by, the mail truck has come or that someone came into a room unexpectedly. He is still adjusting to his new environment so these issues may become less pronounced when he is more comfortable.

With his moderate activity level and his sociable personality, Jack would be a good companion for a family with older or considerate children. He is comfortable with both men and women and gets along with other small dogs, but we don’t know how he will interact with cats.

If you’re looking for a bright eyed and happy companion, Jack might be just the dog for you!

Jack is in a foster home in Washington State.

A fee will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended fee amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any.  A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption.

Thank you for considering a rescue dog!Jack in the yard
