Carlos is a beautiful Havanese whose origin was a mill. We don’t know much about him but suspect he is about 8 years old. He is an adorable little boy, weighing about 7 pounds and is very sweet.
Carlos is a big personality in a small package! He loves everyone from the youngest toddler to the oldest grandpa! He warmly greets every guest as if they were there only to see him and will happily climb into any lap that is offered. He will sleep in your arms like a baby according to his foster mom.
Carlos is great with other dogs and loves to play and even shares his toys, chewies and human laps with them. As time passes, he gains even more confidence and enjoys the life of a beloved Havanese.
He is easily entertained. His favorite toy is a small, stuffed hedgehog but he can amuse himself with a simple stick or a leaf in the yard. He dearly loves his treats and is learning manners in how to take them ‘gently’.
‘Tricks for Treats’ are a special time for Carlos. He can sit, shake, turn around and dance but he would prefer to just get the treats!
Carlos has big bright eyes that will melt you, and they sparkle when you talk to him. You won’t be able to resist his sweet, calm demeanor. His coat is a sable and white color and his foster mom says he is very cute. His coat is easy to care for.
Carlos has quickly learned to go up and down stairs. He is leash trained and when the weather is not too cold he enjoys a walk where he can explore and experience the joys of life. He is a very trusting boy, and like most Havanese, loves attention and belly rubs along with lots of kisses.
He is crate trained, and even though it’s not his favorite place, he enthusiastically goes in to eat and to sleep at night, although he would prefer cuddling and snoozing with a family member in their warm bed!
We know Carlos has grown leaps and bounds in his new world, enjoying life, treats, cuddling, and a lot of love. His wish list in a forever home would be one that has someone home with him during the day and is committed to giving a lot of attention, love and kisses along with plenty of belly rubs. Older, respectful children are okay. Another self-confident dog is okay as well. This Havanese beauty will make someone an amazing, loving companion.
