RoxySammySmFaceSammy and Roxy are best pals and are looking for a new home where they can stay together.  They were very pampered and loved by their former family and have spent their whole lives together.  The transition to their foster home has been incredibly easy due to their friendly and outgoing personalities and they’ve made themselves right at home with the 2 legged and 4 legged members of their foster family.

SammyBallTXSammy is an 18 lb. Havanese/Cocker Spaniel Mix with the most adorable eyes you have ever seen

RoxyTableand Roxy is a 9 lb. Havanese who thinks she is Sammy’s mother!

She washes his face for him every morning to make sure he’s always looking good!  Don’t tell her but they are both 5 years old so she’s definitely not his Mother!

Do you like to play ball?  Sammy will love you to pieces if you do!  Nothing is better than chasing a ball or a squeaky toy as far as he is concerned!  And when he gets tired his favorite spot is right next to you, with his two front paws on your lap.  A little scratch under his ears and he’s yours forever!  He likes his crate and will go there when he’s ready for bed and he’s also partial to snoozing on a dog bed near his people.

Roxy is pure love in a tiny little package.  She doesn’t get on your lap or your furniture without asking permission.  When she wants to be picked up she puts her little front paws on your legs or knees and you can almost hear her saying “please??”   Cuddles and kisses are sure to be your reward if you comply.  Roxy loves to play too and even stalks her playmates like a cat sometimes! Roxy is very good overall health but takes a daily chewable tablet to help with her bladder control.

RoxySammyTX1These little love bugs are very well behaved and very sweet in nature.  They are crate trained, walk perfectly on their leashes, know some basic commands (sit, stay,) travel with ease in the car and are ready for their forever home.  Their previous owner reported an occasional lapse in their house training, possibly because they were sometimes home alone for 10-11 hours at a time.  No accidents so far in their foster home.  To keep them on track their perfect home would be with people who are gone for no more than 7-8 hours at a time.

Sammy and Roxy are being fostered in Texas.

A donation will be requested to adopt this dog. The recommended donation amount will be based on the dog's age, and medical and behavioral issues, if any.  A completed application is required if you are interested in adoption. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
