Yancy's parents said this about their sweet boy after he passed away recently:
"My darling Yancy has crossed the rainbow bridge and will never be afraid of storms agan. The years with him are priceless and will be treasured forever.
He was blind in one eye and hard of hearing but seemed to be doing well and was happy. He passed in his sleep.
He had a wonderful six years with us after enduring seven years in a puppy farm out in the elements. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed."
Fancy Yancy! Yancy is a sweet and calm eight-year-old boy. He has a beautiful cream coat with gold trim and weighs in at a svelte 12 pounds. He was a little frightened when he arrived at his foster home, but now he’s one of the family. AND RUMOR IS THAT HE'S STAYING WITH THIS FAMILY! Win-Win
He loves to go for walks with his foster mom and dad, and is a diligent student of his Havanese foster brother, Simba. Yancy has a good appetite, but Simba taught him a great trick: wait in front of the kitchen and enter only when asked and you’ll get the yummiest food! Yancy has perfect leash manners, is completely housebroken, and is a joyful soul who loves life. Well...he doesn’t like thunderstorms, so if it’s stormy outside he’d appreciate it if you stayed close.
Yancy would be great company for someone who is retired or who works from home. He would do best in a calm, quiet home, and he would be happy to have another dog buddy or to be your one-and-only. He has not had much experience with small children, but plays well with older kids and teens. Oh, and as sweet and gentle as Yancy is, he has one firm demand: you better like to snuggle! Be prepared to find this cutie sidling up to you in bed or on the couch so he can get in his snuggle time.
Yancy is being fostered in Virginia.
